WEEKEND SCHEDULE
TEAM ENTRIES NOW OPEN TO FRIDAY 24 MAY
THE LAUNCH DINNER AND BRIEFING
The Serra Terror event opens with a welcome dinner on Friday night at the Grampians Retreat, Dunkeld (Wrights Rd), 5 Km north on the Grampians Tourist Rd. This begins at 6:00pm for all competing team members (2 support crew members for each team), sponsors & volunteers.
It is a night to register, enjoy a carb filled dinner and socialise with other teams. Team photos will be taken upon arrival so please wear your team colours. Every team member will be given this photo on the final day.
After the official welcome, dinner is served. Event officials will then give a briefing on the event course, expected weather conditions and answer all queries. Additional information for support crews will also be provided, with all proceedings wrapping up around 9:00pm (allowing teams to be rested for the early start the next morning).
On your Marks, get set …
Over the next two and a half days you and your team will test your mental and physical endurance against the might of the Grampians Mt William and Serra Ranges.
Starting on the Saturday morning at 7:00am, teams will leave from a designated starting point. Course maps will be available on the website.
Your team will run, hike, stagger and crawl through some of the most spectacular countryside based around the Grampians National Park.
Teams will pass through designated checkpoints where their support crew members will be able to pamper them as best they can, before they continue the next leg of the journey.
Each day will end at 5:30 (dusk), where teams will have to retire for the evening and contemplate their situation. Before starting it all again until their final destination, the finish line at the Dunkeld Memorial Park is reached on Monday morning.
